Architect
Graduated from the Lisbon School of Fine Arts in 1977 and has run his own studio ever since.
Lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon, Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, the University of Évora and the School of Architecture of the University of Navarre.
Distinctions
1992: Award from the International Association of Art Critics.
1994: Secil Prize, Escola Superior de Comunicação Social building in Lisbon.
1998: Valmor Prize.
1999 - FAD Jury Grand Prize: Pavilhão do Conhecimento dos Mares in Lisbon
2004: Luzboa Prize.
2008: Pessoa Prize.
2010: Piranesi Prix de Rome.
