Eduardo Souto Moura

Architect from the Porto School of Fine Arts. Collaborates with the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira.

Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto, the Paris-Belleville School of Architecture, the schools of architecture of Harvard and Dublin, ETH Zurich and the Lausanne School of Architecture.

In 1995 he was made Grand Officer of the Order of Prince Henry and in 1999 Grand Officer of the Order of Merit.

Honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Architecture and Arts of Universidade Lusíada do Porto in 2011 and also from the University of Aveiro

1992 - SECIL Architecture Prize.

1993 - Secil Architecture Prize, National Architecture Awards.

1995 - International Stone in Architecture Award for the House in Braga, Verona Fair.

1996 - Annual Award of the Portuguese Section of the International Association of Art Critics.

1998 - Finalist for the IBERFAD Prize with the Pousada de Santa Maria do Bouro.

1st Prize, I Bienal IberoAmericana with the Pousada de Santa Maria do Bouro. Pessoa Prize/98.

1999 - FAD Prize “Ciutat i Paisatge” for the “Metro do Porto” project.

2001 - Heinrich-Tessenow-Medal in Gold.

2002 - Finalist at the III Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Ingenieria Civil, Casas Pátio in Matosinhos.

2011 - Pritzker Prize from the Hyatt Foundation of Chicago.

Secil Architecture Prize.

1st Prize for the construction of the Casa das Histórias Paula Rego.

2013 - Wolf Prize in Arts.

2014 - Red Dot Design Award, with the Souto Moura stove insert by Alba.
