Hydra wins IF Design Award 2024
Larus has won the IF Design 2024, a global design award, with the “Hydra” drinking fountains.
The international jury, made up of 132 design specialists, recognised the value of this product, which stands out for being inclusive, since one of its five versions was designed for people with reduced mobility, and also sustainable, as it encourages the consumption of mains water, the use and reuse of non-disposable personal bottles and the reuse of water for animals.
The “Hydra” drinking fountains, designed by the Diwiz studio, are made of steel, cast iron and aluminium and are available in five versions (S, L, Wash and Refill, Portable Refill).
Previously, the “Hydra” drinking fountain was recognised at the latest edition of the International Design Biennial, which brought together the best of Ibero-American design, in Madrid.
Design research is a strategic commitment for Larus, whose mission is to humanize the territory. Every day, its Research and Development Office designs technical solutions that anticipate urban planning needs.

The brand is recognised for the originality and diversity of its solutions, which come from close collaboration with the leading names in Portuguese architecture and design, such as Siza Vieira, Souto Moura, Daciano da Costa, Alcino Soutinho, João Nunes, Carrilho da Graça, Henrique Cayatte and Francisco Providência, among others.
