Metal bollards and deterrent bollards for pedestrian areas and traffic control

Access control in public space is as much a visual decision as a functional one. A bollard marking the boundary between a pedestrian area and a carriageway is there for safety reasons, but it is also part of the composition of the space. Choosing the right model, in form, material and mode of operation, is what separates equipment that belongs from equipment that merely takes up room.

Our catalogue includes 9 models organised in three typologies:

  • Bollards are available in fixed, folding, removable and retractable versions, covering situations of permanent use or restricted access for authorised vehicles. There is also an illuminated version, suited to areas with poorer visibility at night.
  • Free-form bollards have a more expressive presence in the space and are often chosen in historic settings where the formal language of the equipment has to engage with the identity of the place.
  • Rising barriers complete the catalogue for situations that require manual access control, with a counterweight system that minimises operating effort and an anti-damage system in the event of vehicle impact.

The main materials are cast iron, steel and galvanised steel, with different surface treatments depending on the model and the installation context.

All models can be adapted for specific projects, and we work with architecture practices, local authorities and developers on customised solutions.
