ALBA - centenary

100 years ago, Augusto Martins Pereira, after previous professional experiences on the continent, in the USA (Boston) and in the Azores, settled in Albergaria-a-Velha, registering the brand ALBA shortly afterwards.

The high sense of social responsibility, as well as the creativity and quality that distinguished his company, definitely marked the course of two counties: Sever do Vouga, his birthplace, and Albergaria-a-Velha.

Today the brand is managed by Larus, a company created by his great-grandson and which is recognized as a national and international example of the careful use of design.

The piece prepared by the Jornal Beira Vouga is presented, aimed mainly at the public established in the municipalities of Albergaria-a-Velha, Águeda, Server do Vouga and Estarreja, naturally highlighting the celebration of the centenary of the ALBA brand.
